Present: Bodie, Proulx, Thell, Peterson. Absent: Brenner.
A representative from Trussbilt, LLC gave a tour and information on detention cells and products for potential use in the Justice Center Project.
Bodie by Thell all yea, to approve the Agenda as amended.
Thell by Peterson all yea, to approve the November 9, 2021, Minutes of the Regular meeting.
Bodie by Thell all yea, to accept the 2022 Children’s Mental Health Grant of $17,501 from Minnesota Department of Human Services.
Thell by Peterson all yea, to accept an amended additional federal COVID-19 grant of $264,638 from the Community Health Board.
Thell by Bodie all yea, except Brenner, who was absent, to adopt Lease Agreement for additional parking spaces by and between Carlton County and the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency.
Peterson by Bodie all yea, to accept the Airport Commission’s recommendation to increase the hangar rental rate by 4%.
Peterson by Thell all yea, except Brenner, who was absent, to approve the award for the work necessary at the Cloquet Carlton County Airport for COQ Runway Safety Area Grading for Runway 18/36 to KGM Contractors.
Bodie by Peterson all yea, except Brenner, who was absent, to award project SAP 009-603-038 to Ulland Brothers, Inc. contingent upon the City of Cloquet’s approval.
Thell by Bodie all yea, except Brenner, who was absent, to award project
SAP 009-603-040 to Ulland Brothers, Inc.
Bodie by Peterson all yea, to authorize the County Board Chairperson to sign the revised letter to Mn/DOT in regards to the TH 210 & CSAH 61 intersection reconstruction.
Bodie by Thell all yea, to set a closed session at the end of the regular meeting to discuss labor negotiations.
Proulx by Bodie to refill a 1.0 FTE Community & Collab Support Specialist position in the Community & Family Services Department. This motion failed with Commissioners Bodie and Proulx voting aye, and Commissioners Peterson and Thell voting nay.
Bodie presented information on the Arrowhead Counties Association 2022 legislative priorities.
Bodie by Thell all yea, to have the Land Commissioner, Peterson, and Bodie compose a letter to the MN DNR supporting efforts to reduce and control chronic wasting disease.
Bodie by Thell all yea, to close the regular meeting for discussion of union negotiations.
Bodie by Thell all yea, to close the closed session and return to the adjourned meeting.
Bodie by Thell all yea, that this meeting be adjourned.
