While states like Madhya Pradesh will hold the MPBSE pre-board exams in take-home mode from January 20, several boards including CBSE and CISCE is yet to release the date sheets for the term 2 exams. The term 2 board exams have been scheduled to be held in March-April. A few state boards including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Bihar have already released the 2022 board exam dates. Also, several cities and states including Delhi, Maharashtra and West Bengal have announced the closure of schools considering the rise in Covid cases in the country.
The boards which held the term 1 exams in December 2021, including the CISCE and CBSE boards, are yet to release the Class 10, 12 term 1 score cards.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Education Board (GSHSEB) will conduct the class 10 and 12 theoretical exams between March 28 and April 12, 2022.
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) will conduct Class 10 board exams from March 15. There are no updates on the postponement of the exams yet.
The marking scheme for the intermediate exams was also revised this year by the Bihar board to help students score a better aggregate in their exams. In case a student fails in a compulsory subject, the marks secured in the additional subject will be considered for preparing the result. There are a total of 5 papers in the board exam including two compulsory language papers- Hindi and English.
The schools, colleges in Telangana will be closed further till January 30. The state government on Sunday, January 16 decided to extend the vacation of all educational institutions in Telangana till January 30. The duration of the examination will be three hours for all the test papers. There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into three sections; A, B and C. All sections are compulsory.
In Section A, there will be 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with 10 questions for one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ offers four options, with only one of them being the correct answer. Candidates can mark their preference by clicking it.
In Section B, there will be 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), carrying two marks each. Each MSQ is the same. Each MSQ is similar to an MCQ, with the exception that MSQs may include one or more correct choice(s) from the four given options. The candidate is awarded full credit only if he/she selects all of the correct answers. Candidates can mark the correct answer(s) by clicking on the appropriate choice(s).
In Section C, there will be a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, with 10 one-mark questions and 10 two-mark questions. The response to NAT questions is a signed real number that must be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. For NAT questions, no options will be displayed.
Questions not attempted will result in a zero mark in sections. Negative marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in Section A (MCQ). For each incorrect answer to a one-mark question, 1/3 of a mark will be deducted, and for each incorrect answer to a two-mark question, marks will be deducted. There are no negative or partial marking provisions in Section-B (MSQ). Section-C (NAT) has no negative marking as well.
There is an option to use a virtual calculator online. The Candidates are not permitted to bring their own calculators .
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is organising a Science challenge for Class 8 to 10 students. The students of all boards can appear for the ‘CBSE Science Challenge’ through the official DIKSHA platform from January 17 to February 28, 2022. The challenge will be available in both Hindi and English with no participation fee.

The syllabus for the Bihar Board exams was reduced by 30 percent for Science, Commerce, and Arts stream in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. The theory papers for Science students will be of 70 marks and practical papers for 30 marks. The Arts and Commerce papers will be of 100 marks each. The board exam papers will consist of both long answer questions and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
BSEB increased the number of objective questions in the paper for each stream. Class 12 Science subjects including Entrepreneurship, Computer science, Multimedia and Web Technology, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Home Science, Agriculture, Physical Education and Yoga will have 35 MCQs.
BSEB Class 12 Commerce and Arts subjects including Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics, History, Sociology, Political science and Philosophy will have 50 MCQs. While the vocational papers including English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Urdu and other languages will have 35 MCQs.
The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has released the timetable for Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) and Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination. Students can check the schedule on the official website- mbose.in.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is set to release the results for Company Secretary Foundation Programme Examination, December 2021, and CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) January 2022 on January 19 at 4 pm.
The Kerala Government has issues guidelines to start COVID-19 vaccination in schools for students aged between 15 to 18 years from January 19. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting attended by Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty and Health Minister Veena George.
In the meeting, it was decided that district task forces, with the assistance of the education department, will identify the schools where COVID-19 vaccination will be administered. Schools with more than 500 beneficiaries will be selected as vaccination sites. Read More
In view of the rapid increase in the number of Covid cases, Osmania University (OU) will remain closed till January 30. The decision came after the Telangana government instructed all educational institutions to extend their holidays till January 30.

RBSE Board: The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) has postponed the Class 12 practical exams. The Class 12 Practical exams were slated to be held from January 17. The new dates will be announced later, Dr Bulaki Das Kalla, state Education Minister said.
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in lost learning for children worldwide and 2022 cannot be yet another year of disrupted education, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Executive Director Henrietta Fore said.
Prolonged school closure has wiped out decades of progress in education and a shadow pandemic of child labour, child marriage and mental health issues has taken hold, according to Henrietta Fore.
The MCQs in the CBSE term 1 question papers included case-based MCQs and MCQs on the assertion-reasoning type. The duration of the exam was 90 minutes and covered 50 per cent of the rationalised syllabus. As a first, CBSE has taken the exams in OMR sheets for objective-type questions. The questions carried equal marks each and was held for a total of 40 marks.

The Haryana government has decided to close all schools and colleges in the state till January 26, keeping in view the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. During this period, schools and colleges will conduct online classes for their students.
There is no justification now for keeping schools closed in view of the pandemic and even if there are new waves, closing schools should be the last resort, according to the World Bank's Global Education Director Jaime Saavedra. Considering the academic loss caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad(UPMSP) has decided to reduce the syllabus of Class 9, Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12 for the 2021-22 academic year by 30 per cent.
Class 10 and Class 12 UP board exams in 2022 will be conducted in February-March. While the theory exams are scheduled for the fourth week of March and the UP board practical will begin in the third week of February.

According to the UP board exam date 2022 Class 12, pre-board practical exams for the 2022 UP board exam students will take place from January 24 to 31 and theory exams will be conducted from February first week, along with home exams of Classes 9 and 11, the UPMSP said in its academic calendar.
CBSE is expected to release the 10th and 12th board exam time table 2021-22 for term 2 exams soon. The timetables will be released at cbse.nic.in.
CBSE Class 10, 12 term 1 board exams were conducted in November-December, 2021 and results of these exams are expected soon. The board may announce both Class 10 and Class 12 results on the same day or on different days.
CBSE had shared a notice on news being circulated on Class 10, 12 exam pattern and has said that they are misleading and incorrect. The CBSE statement is in response to some media platforms circulating news as breaking and confusing the readers. 
The CBSE statement issued said: “It has been noticed that a few online media platforms are circulating incorrect information and confusing audiences, using expressions such as Breaking News about major exam pattern changes in class X and XII, Term 2 Board exams.”

The MP board will start the pre-board exams for the students of Class 10 and Class 12 from January 20. The MPBSE pre-board exams will be held in ‘Take Home Exam’ mode.
Students in Maharashtra will be able to submit Class 10 and Class 12 Maharashtra board exam 2022 applications even before the day of the exam, School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced earlier on December 2021.
Although CBSE will not announce term 1 results as pass or fail or essential repeat and the final cbse.gov.in 2022 Class 10 result will be published after term 2 exams get over, Class 10 and Class 12 students who appeared for the first term exams are waiting for the scorecards to be released soon.
According to an official statement, a total of 51.74 lakh (51,74,583) students have applied for the UPMSP class 10, 12 board exams. These include 27.83 lakh (27,83,742) students for Class 10 and 23.91 lakh (23,91,841) students for Class 12. 
Board exams in Uttar Pradesh will begin next month. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will release the date sheet and admit cards for Class 10 and Class 12 final exams on upmsp.edu.in.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will announce ICSE or Class 10 and ISC or Class 12 semester 1 results soon. The marks sheet will only mention scores obtained by the students in each subject. “The overall result i.e. – Pass Certificate Awarded or Pass Certificate Not Awarded/ Eligible for Compartment Examination will only be declared after completion of the Semester 2 Examination,” the council said.

The prelim, or second exam, for Class 9 to Class 12 will be held between February 10 and February 18. As per Gujarat board exam 2022 latest news, the exam dates for Class 10 and Class 12 board will be conducted from March 28 to April 12, and for Classes 9 and 11, from April 21 to April 30, 2022.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the Class 10 and Class 12 term 1 result date soon. When announced, CBSE will host the board exam results on cbseresults.nic.in.
Karnataka SSLC exam 2022 will begin on March 28 and end on end on April 11, the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) said. The board also said that the time table is tentative, which means it may be changed later.

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will conduct Class 10 and Class 12 final exams from March 3, following COVID-19 guidelines. Date sheets for these exams are likely to be released in the first week of February, RBSE spokesperson Rajendra Gupta told Careers360.
Bihar Board Matric exam will begin on February 17 and end on February 24. BSEB Inter Exam 2022 will start on February 1 and end on February 14, 2022. BSEB papers will be conducted for three hours and an additional cool off time of 15 minutes will be given to candidates.
