PAK vs AUS: Cricket Australia set to tour Pakistan after 24 years – The twelfth Man Times

PAK vs AUS: Cricket Australia has announced that they will be touring Pakistan for 3 ODI matches, 3 Test matches, and a single T20I match in the first week of March. This is indeed historic as Australia will be playing a series in Pakistan after 24 years which is an unbelievably long interval. 
Pakistan Cricket Board made a revised schedule for the tour which has been approved by Cricket Australia. The matches will be played in the following order – 3 Test matches, 3 ODI matches, and 1 T20I. The first test will be played on 4th March. 
The Series fixture has been given below:- 
4th to 8th March: Test 1, Rawalpindi

12th to 16th March: Test 2, Karachi
21st to 25th March: Test 2, Lahore
29th March: ODI 1, Rawalpindi
31st March: ODI 2, Rawalpindi
2nd April: ODI 3, Rawalpindi
5th April: T20I, Rawalpindi
Cricket Australia Chief Executive Nick Hockley praised PCB for making the series possible and remarked that it was indeed exciting that the two teams will meet on Pakistan’s turn for the first time in 24 years. 
Nick Hockley thanked PCB and both Pakistan and Australian governments for ensuring that the tour takes place for the first time in 24 years. 
Hockley said that it is a historic occasion and that it is important for the growth of the game globally. 
He also thanked Australia’s Cricketers Association, players, coaches, supporting team, staff and security personnel for helping them plan the tour and turning it into a reality. He said that Cricket Australia are eagerly waiting for a thrilling series. 
Australian Test captain Pat Cummins also talked about his excitement about the series and assured that all the Australian players are ready for it. He thinks that they will get almost a full-strength squad against Pakistan. 
Pat Cummins is getting all the updates about the tour and he is very happy so far. He also praised the pre-tour security and biosecurity personnel for their hard work. 
He thanked Cricket Australia for their support and he said that the best players from both sides will take part in the series. 
“We are pleased that the Cricket Australia Board has formally approved their side’s five-week tour itinerary and confirmed that their best available players will visit Pakistan for the first time in 24 years,” he said
The PCB chief said that they are indeed very excited to host Pat Cummins and the Australian players and they look forward to a competitive series. 
The Last time Pakistan faced Australia in a competitive match was in the 2021 T20 World Cup. They faced each other in the semi-finals and Australia came out victorious
