Aurora student named to SNHU dean’s list
Tasheema Scott of Aurora (60504) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Fall 2021 Dean’s List.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits; undergraduate day students must earn 12 credits in the fall or spring semester, and online students must earn 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6.

Aurora student completes Healthcare Business Leadership program
Michelle Dobrzynski of Aurora is one of 35 University of Iowa College of Pharmacy students who recently completed the college’s Healthcare Business Leadership program (HBL).
The leadership program teaches students how to understand and make effective business decisions regarding teamwork, finance, conflict management, entrepreneurship, and how to leverage healthcare data to improve outcomes and decision making.
The program requires students to attend five out of six Saturday modules over a 12-month period. Module topics for 2021 included, among others, strategic hiring, finance for clinicians, and high-performance leadership.
HBL is proving to be extremely valuable to pharmacy students. Third-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate Kelsey Kiwala said she “learned strategies to navigate conflict — and how to approach that based on the relationships and management style that you have.”

Local student named to Southeast Missouri State University president’s list
Madison Sniegowski of Aurora has been named to the Southeast Missouri State University Dean’s List for academic achievement during the fall 2021 semester.
Students named to the list earned at least a 3.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, completed at least 12 hours of standard graded credit, achieved no grade below a B and received no failing grades in enrolled, credit/no credit or pass/fail courses.

Aurora student makes dean’s list at Upper Iowa University
Upper Iowa University is pleased to announce the Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester. To be honored, the undergraduate must have earned a minimum 3.50 GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student.
Among those named to the Dean’s List was Charles Caruso, a business administration major from Aurora, IL.

Nazareth College student earns fall 2021 dean’s list honors
Nazareth College is proud to announce that Jazmin Straus of Aurora has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2021 semester.
A student’s grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean’s list at Nazareth.

Grayson Goetz awarded Warrior of the Week
Grayson Goetz, of Aurora, has been recognized as the Warrior of the Week for Wisconsin Lutheran College for the week of January 10-14.
Goetz, a member of the Warriors men’s basketball team, scored a game- and season-high 18 points on Wednesday in the Warriors’ 73-59 road win at MSOE. The sophomore guard shot 66.7 percent from the floor in his only game of the week.
Each week throughout the academic year, a Wisconsin Lutheran College student-athlete is acknowledged for his or her accomplishments from the previous week. Warrior of the Week is meant to acknowledge a student’s dedication to excellence in their given sport as well as inside the classroom.

Aurora student receives degree from Georgia Tech
Andrew Liang of Aurora, IL, has earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Liang was among approximately 4,900 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute’s 261st Commencement exercises December 17-18, 2021, at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

University of Iowa 2021 fall semester president’s list honorees announced
More than 6,900 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the dean’s list for the 2021 fall semester. Dean’s list status was earned by only 1,402 first-year undergraduates during the 2021 spring semester at Iowa, only 1,427 second-year students, only 1,836 third-year students, and only 2,304 fourth-year students.

Rachel Lines of Aurora earns honor roll recognition
In a display of academic achievement, 21 percent of Dixie State University students earned President’s and Dean’s List recognition for the Fall 2021 semester.
Specifically, 2,627 students were included on the university’s honor rolls, with 1,212 students on the President’s List and 1,415 on the Dean’s List. Inclusion indicates students’ strong commitment to their academic pursuits, as they must achieve a semester GPA of 3.9 or higher to be included on the President’s List and a GPA of 3.5 to 3.89 for the Dean’s List. Both lists require students to complete a minimum of 15 credits.
Rachel Lines was among the 2,627 students included on the honor roll for the Fall 2021 semester.
“Congratulations to our amazing DSU students who worked diligently this past fall to achieve the highest levels of learning and classroom performance,” Dr. Michael Lacourse, vice president of academic affairs, said. “We are proud of their accomplishment and recognition as members of the Fall 2021 honor roll.”

Mary Hall (Aurora) has been named to the Knox College Dean’s List of distinguished students for the 2021 Fall Term. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have earned at least 2.5 credits in the term, with a grade point average of 3.6 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

Diana Wilcox graduates from UW-Whitewater
Diana Wilcox from Aurora, IL, earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement, held Dec. 18, 2021.
More than 762 students crossed the stage to receive their degrees at the ceremony, held at Kachel Fieldhouse in the Williams Center.
Wilcox graduated with the following degree: Sociology – BS
The graduating class included 4 international students, 71 military veterans and 168 nontraditional students, defined as undergraduate students who are 25 years of age or older. In addition, 79 self-identified students with disabilities received degrees.
