ROSWELL, GA — The Roswell Fire Department will host four free community first aid classes on Saturday, March 19.
The classes will be offered at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. at the Hembree Park community building at Hembree Park, 850 Hembree Rd., in Roswell. To register for the class, please visit the City’s website at www.roswellgov.com/fire. Each class is estimated to run 60-90 minutes and is limited to 25 participants.
The Fire Department will use the American Heart Association’s (AHA) first aid curriculum, which is for people who want to learn first aid but do not need a course completion card in first aid for their job, according to a news release. The course is ideal for students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. Participants must be at least 12 years of age and a resident of Roswell.
The skills will be taught in a group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on first aid practice time possible.
To register for the class, please visit the City’s website at www.roswellgov.com/fire.
