Techcore2 Nonprofit Corporation is a $50K grant recipient of Gov. Wolf Announced $15.7 Million in Violence Intervention and Prevention Grants and is providing FREE Saturday computer coding classes to Philadelphia youth, targeting the Mantua and West Philadelphia community. Classes are offered from April 9 – May 21, 2022.
TIME SLOT T1: (11:00 am – 12:30 pm) 1A) Parent & Me SCRATCH Coding (K to 2nd grades) 1B) SCRATCH Coding (3rd to 5th grades) 1C) SCRATCH Coding (6th to 8th grades)
TIME SLOT T2: (1:00 pm – 2:30 pm) 2A) Robolox Game Design & Play (Parent & Me: Kindergarten to 2nd grades) 2B) Robolox Game Design & Play (3rd to 5th grades) 2C) Fortnite (6th to 8th grades) TIME SLOT T2: (3:00 pm – 4:30 pm) 3A) Grasshopper SmartPhone JavaScript Coding (6th to 12th grades) 3B) Lego Mindstorm Robotics (grades 4th to 8th) 3C) SCRATCH Intro. & Intermediate Coding (3rd to 8th grades)
Classes will be held in-person at Rudolphy/Mercy-Douglass Home for the Blind, 3827 Powelton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (Entrance through driveway in Rear of building).
