Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a proposal for IT companies to conduct training programmes for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), robotics, and virtual reality.
Gehlot announced in the budget to set up the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Advanced Technology in Jaipur with an amount of Rs 200 crore. The centre will conduct certification courses and multidisciplinary research in AI, ML, robotics, and virtual reality and make the general public aware of the innovations happening in this field.
This centre has been envisaged as a high-level institution in which world-class IT companies will conduct information technology training programmes for the state’s youth. To facilitate and encourage these companies to start their training facilities in the state, the chief minister has approved to provide well-equipped training institutes and maintenance facilities free of cost.
Reputable IT companies will conduct various quality training courses in three categories as training partners in this institute. The first will be a premium course, which will be fee-based. The second course will be subsidised by the state government, in which 100 children will be selected for each of the training partners. Finally, the third course is based on e-learning and will be free of cost, in which the course materials will be provided free.
