The Canyon Lake Pickleball Club will be hosting free pickleball lessons for adults living in Canyon Lake tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday at the Pickleball courts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No reservations are necessary. Those wishing to receive the lessons need to just show up in their tennis shoes at the courts at Eastport Park any time during the sessions. The club will supply everything else the person needs, Club Secretary Steve Libring said.
“You will earn the skills, rules, game play and strategy,” Steve said. “Pickleball is for all ages and all levels of skill and is very easy to learn and quickly improve.”
More than three million others play the fastest growing sport in America.
“Come see how much fun it is,” Steve said. “If you come down to Eastport tomorrow during Fiesta Hopper Days, you and your family will also be treated to a variety of fun activities, food and booths.”
Tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will also be a ferris wheel, water slide, petting zoo, disc jockey, ice cream truck and two food trucks in addition to the lessons.
The following booths will also be at the park during Fiesta Hopper: Nothing Bundt Cakes, Chef Anton, the Scuba Magician, Kelly Girl Creations, Purity Bee Bath and Body, A.L.P. Junkies-Lily Pads, Barkey Bark Puppy Munch, Riverside Behavioral Health, and LESJWA/EVMWD.
Keeping the entertainment flowing will also be the club‘s very own DJ Taylor. The Pickleball Club will be raffling off a Lily Pad worth $500.00 to one lucky community family.
Tickets are just $5.00 each or six for $20.00, with all donations going right back into the community.
“We’re working closely with the POA to make this a very fun experience for all the community to enjoy tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you,” Steve said. “There is a little something here for everyone.”
