Youth from Kautla Naudh Singh village have been invited by the district administration for a two-month refresher course on animal management in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Department, Hoshiarpur.
The course is being conducted on the eve of 75 years of Independence. The Centre has chosen 75 districts connected with unsung heroes of the freedom struggle and Hoshiarpur is one amongst them.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr Rana Preet Gill, Veterinary Officer, Bajwara, said the course, which was completely free, would cover several aspects of animal management, including rearing of milch animals, breeds of cows and buffaloes, preparation of feeds, calf rearing as an exclusive venture, zoonotic disease and their management.
Another veterinary officer, Dr Sandeep Kaur, called the programme a great initiative which would be beneficial for young men and women to become entrepreneurs.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising four eminent persons as trustees.
The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the paper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
