DU Merit List 2022: The University of Delhi (DU) has issued the first allotment list for admission to its undergraduate programmes today, October 19. The DU UG admission CSAS first phase allotment list is made available on the university’s admission website — admission.uod.ac.in. The DU merit list will not be available on the university dashboard. DU, this year is admitting students to 79 UG programmes across 67 colleges, departments, and centres. The programmes include 206 combinations of BA courses. The DU began admissions for over 70,000 seats last month. This year, the DU registration portal opened on September 12 and closed on October 13.
The DU admission CSAS list has been prepared on the basis of the combination of programmes and colleges selected by the applicants during the DU preference filling phase.
Sudhanshu Maddheshiya, who was hoping that CUET will be his "saviour", got a seat in Rajdhani College in his choice of course. "I am from UP Board and did not score well in 12th class. If admission would have been conducted with Class 12th marks, it would have been difficult to secure admission in DU but CUET allowed me to prove myself," he told PTI. Also Read
The University of Delhi has witnessed a decline in foreign students admissions across undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses this academic season. According to DU, there is a decline of over 27.5 per cent from the previous year. The maximum number of students this year is from Nepal (110), followed by Tibet (100) and Bangladesh (85). Also Read

Candidates who wish to appear for CSAS 2022 but failed to register within the stipulated time can participate through the Mid-Entry window by paying a registration fee of Rs 1000. The CSAS mid-entry registration will be available on the official website — admission.uod.ac.in between November 5 and 7, 2022.
If a candidate wishes to withdraw his/her admission from DU merit list can do so through his/her dashboard by selecting the 'Withdraw' option and paying a non-refundable withdrawal fee of Rs 1,000.
If a candidate failed to 'Accept' the provisionally allocated seat in DU merit list within the stipulated timeline will lead to the cancellation of the allocated seat and s/he will not be allowed to appear in the further round of seat allocation.
In DU round 1 seat allocation, if a candidate selects the 'Upgrade' option, will upgrade to a higher preference submitted by the candidate. By selecting the 'Upgrade' option, the candidate's current seat allocation will be auto-cancelled if new preference/s is/are allocated. Aspirant who opt for 'Upgrade' can also reorder the programme and college combinations that were higher in preference than the allocated one. On selecting 'Freeze', the candidate will not be allowed to opt for "Upgradation." Candidates must "Freeze" their admission only if they are satisfied with it and do not want to be considered for subsequent allocations.

The Delhi University's second merit list will be issued on October 25, 2022. Candidates can check the second CSAS merit list on the official website– ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
Candidates shortlisted in DU first merit list need to accept the seat allocation between October 19 and October 21. Colleges are required to verify and approve the online applications from October 19 to October 22, 2022. Candidates can pay the admission fee till October 24. The Delhi University will release the second round of CSAS allocation and admissions on October 25, 2022.
Tie-breaking decisions is based on the percentage of aggregate marks in the best three subjects in Class 12, the percentage of aggregate marks in the best four subjects in Class 12, the percentage of aggregate marks in the best five subjects in Class 12, and the age of the candidate.
Candidates who are allocated a seat must accept allocation from October 19 to 21.
The prospectus, which was on the website since May, for admission to the college's undergraduate courses for 2022-23 mentioned 85 per cent weightage to the CUET and 15 per cent to an interview. Read More
The Delhi University on Wednesday welcomed the Supreme Court's order refusing to stay a Delhi High Court's that asked St. Stephen's College to follow the university's admission policy, and assured the aspirants will face "no issue" as undergraduate admissions will be conducted as per schedule.
Shortlisted candidates can accept the allotted seats between October 19 and 21.

A candidate who is allocated a seat as per the Allocation Policy stated in the CSAS 2022 must perform the following steps through their dashboard to ensure successful admission:
1. "Accept Allocation" under User Action Tab
2 . On receiving the "Approval from the College Principal", proceed to pay the fee to confirm the admission
3. Take a printout of the acknowledgement receipt
This year, the university is admitting students on the basis of CUET normalised scores. DU UG 2022 aspirants are posting tweets on social media.
On declaration of the allocation list/s, the candidate must check the lists carefully and log on to his/her CSAS-2022 dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. It is the responsibility of the candidate to login to the dashboard and check if a seat is allocated in a given round of seat allocation, and if allocated s(he) must complete all admission formalities, a DU statement said.
DU registrar Vikas Gupta confirmed the university will announce the first list of seats for admission to undergraduate programmes by 5 pm today, October 19.

For admission under ECA, and Sports Supernumerary Quotas at DU, 25 per cent weightage will be given to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score, while 75 per cent to certificates and trials.

The trials for DU UG ECA admissions 2022-23 which started on Tuesday, October 18, will continue till Thursday, October 27.

The University of Delhi will prepare the UG merit list considering the following criteria- programme-group merit list, CSAS 2022 round 1 allocation list, availability of seats in courses/colleges.

As per latest DU data, as many as 57,642 have opted for BCom at Ramjas and 57,615 at Kirori Mal College.
“In order to optimally fill the seats, the university will be allocating 30 per cent extra seats for the SC/ST candidates in the first CSAS allocation round,” Delhi University admission statement said.
If vacant seats are available, the university may announce more spot rounds after releasing the merit list against spot round on November 20. “It has been observed from the registration statistics that there are ample opportunities for the candidates belonging to SC and ST category to take admission in the University of Delhi,” the university said earlier.

Unlike previous years, where du.ac.in website used to host the DU cut-off marks on the basis of Class 12th marks, will this year is admitting students on the basis of CUET 2022 normalised scores. The university will release merit lists this year. DU will likely release three merit lists this year for admission to UG courses.

The university will prepare the CSAS 2022 round 1 allocation list considering the factors such as combination of programmes and colleges selected by the candidates. Moreover, the criteria including caste category, programme-group merit list and availability of seats in courses/colleges will also be considered by the Delhi University while preparing the DU merit list 2022.

Answer: If a candidate fails to pay the admission fee within the stipulated time, it will be considered as a cancellation of the provisionally Allocated Seat.

Question: Can I take admission in more than one allocated seat?
Answer: In case a candidate is offered multiple seats in a particular round, the candidate must "Accept" one allocated seat only.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear today a plea of St Stephen's College against a Delhi High Court order which had asked it to follow the admission policy of Delhi University. The Delhi High Court had on September 12 asked the Christian minority institution to follow the admission policy formulated by the Delhi University, according to which 100 per cent weightage has to be given to the CUET 2022 score while granting admission to non-minority students in its undergraduate courses.
