Savickas used a scintillating opening 100 meters to take out Chase Kalisz and win the 200 breast at the U.S. Open in a massive best time of 2:09.68.
The Sarasota Sharks (above) won the women’s title at the 2022 U.S. Open Championships in the club-or-federation division.
Lithuanian Aleksas Sarvickas thundered to a victory in the 200 breast at the US Open over Chas Kalisz, clocking 2:09.68, a lifetime best by 4 seconds.
Regan Smith not only swam the 200 back/200 fly double, but she won both, breaking a meet record in one and touching .1 away from a meet record in the other.

Just checked the weather for the first 2 days in Melbourne (it is an indoor/outdoor pool)… 17 degrees (62F) and rain. Of course it can be 40 degrees at this time of year!
Looks like the whole meet will be 22 degrees or cooler. People travelling from the nothern hemisphere hoping for lovely summer weather are gonna be disappointed.
Even where I am near the Gold Coast it’s lower than usual at 26 degrees.

The meet should be indoors. Or in Qld.
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and southwesterly winds are expected
It was 37 on the Gold Coast yesterday. Oof. Surprised it’s going to drop so much next week.
Make sure to tighten those goggle straps!
is the US team now in Australia?
It looks like most everyone is in the air,

Good luck to NC STATES Braden Holloway .
,FLORIDA’ Asst Coach Whitney Hite and the
rest of the staff and swimmers . David is right…the AUSSIES love their swimming and appreciate the sport . Great environment but the home team will have lots of support !
