The annual life certificate, or Jeevan Pramaan Patra, is required to be filed by November 30, 2022, for individuals receiving government pensions. A pensioner can submit their yearly life certificate digitally in six different methods mentioned below.
Pensioners can electronically submit their life certificates through the Jeevan Pramaan Portal. A pensioner must download the Jeevan Pramaan app from the portal. A pensioner must also provide their fingerprints using the apparatus required by UIDAI.
The “Doorstep Service for Submission of Digital Life Certificate by Postman” initiative, created by the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) of the Department of Posts and Meity, was successfully introduced by the Department of Pension & Pensiöners’ Welfare. To use this feature on a mobile device, a pensioner must download the “Postinfo APP” from the Google Play store.
Doorstep Banking is also provided by the Alliance, which is made up of 12 public sector banks and offers “Doorstep Banking” to its customers. PSB Alliance has made the service for acquiring life certificates available under the pretext of doorstep banking. The service will be delivered to the pensioner’s door by a DSB representative.

Pensioners can also submit Life Certificates via the UIDAI Aadhaar-based Face Authentication technology method. By capturing a live snapshot of the retiree and uploading it online to the Jeevan Pramaan mobile application, a Digital Life Certificate can be produced using any Android-based smartphone.
In November 2020, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) and the Department of Posts jointly introduced the Doorstep Service for submission of the Digital Life Certificate via Postman. A pensioner will need to download the Postinfo App from Google Playstore in order to submit a life certificate utilising this service.
A pensioner who submits a life certificate in the necessary format and with the required signatures is excused from attending in person, according to paragraph 14.3 of the CPAO-issued Scheme Booklet. A list of designated officials who are permitted to sign life certificates is included as Annexure-I in the CPAO scheme handbook. Personal appearance is not required if a pensioner submits a life certificate form that has been signed by a “designated authority”.
