It is good news for all candidates who wished to study from globally acclaimed Ivy League Universities. With classes suspended indefinitely now, the 8 global universities are offering more than 400 free online courses. The Ivy League universities namely Harvard, Cornell, Brown, Columbia, Princeton, Dartmouth, Yale and Pennsylvania have started online courses that are like a boon to all students at present.
The courses are available in a variety of subjects including data sciences, computer science, programming, humanities, arts, business management, design, social sciences, health and medicine and engineering etc. The students could also study courses in education, teaching, mathematics and personality development.
It is not so that the universities did not offer the online courses previously, but the courses have increased over lockdown. The courses also vary in duration like Harvard offering week-long courses as well as 4-month courses, 15 weeks. Students are also allowed to choose difficulty levels of the courses they wish to opt. There are three levels, introductory, intermediate and advanced.
The availability of courses is on edX, founded by Harvard and MIT. Yale is offering 40 free courses such as Moder poetry, Financial markets, civil war and reconstruction era, introduction to psychology, Biomedical engineering course etc. In addition to these many courses by Yale teachers and researchers are also available on Coursera. The candidates must note that the best part is that they would be provided with certifications on completion of these courses by them. The candidates need to access online-learning.harvard.edu, coursera.org/yale, classcentral.com to name a few sites.
