Your guide to the top 10 things to do, places to go for entertainment events, concerts, festivals, and activities in Bay County.
7:30 p.m. at Callaway Recreational Complex, 500 Callaway Park Way (in the Callaway soccer field #8). Bring the family and enjoy a free showing of the Disney movie “Encanto” in the park presented by the Bay County Library. Popcorn and water will be provided. Bring your own blankets or chairs.

4-6 p.m. at The Light Room,  306 Harrison Ave., Panama City. The Light Room will host an opening night for a new exhibit, “Seeing in Black and White.” Come enjoy the photographs and meet the photographers. Seeing in Black and White explores the medium of black and white photography through the eyes of 14 local photographers. The photographers in this group use both traditional film and digital techniques.

6-9 p.m. at El Rodeo Tequila Bar & Grill at 1136 Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach. Stroll Grand Lagoon will host a Summer White party featuring Latin-inspired hors d’oeuvres and appetizers, a full cash bar with the best margaritas and cold cervezas around. Live Latin music by Victor Payano and his band, so get ready to do some dancing.

1-4 p.m. at Mother’s Wine Market, 228 Harrison Ave. in Panama City. Artist Sara Gramlich will provide you with step-by-step instruction to paint your pet. No experience necessary. First-time painters always welcome.
Once you sign up, an email will be sent with further instructions on sending photos of your pet (this is critical, so that a sketch can be pre-drawn onto your canvas prior to the event). All painting materials are provided and first-time painters are always welcome. Great for date night or girls night out. Food and drinks will be sold separately.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Bay County Library, 898 W. 11th St. in Panama City. The Friends of the Bay County Public Libraries will sponsor Oceans of Possibilities, a double feature, family friendly film screening of “Dolphin Tale” (PG, 2011) at 10 a.m. followed by “Dolphin Tale 2” (PG, 2014) at 2 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. The films will be shown in the meeting room with popcorn provided.

8 p.m.-midnight at the Salty Goat Saloon, 13006 Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach. Grab a drink and listen to the Funky Lampshades perform ith their combination of funk, reggae, country, blues and soul.

9-11 a.m. at Camp Helen State Park, 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway in Panama City Beach. Join Camp Helen State Park staff for a leisurely 90-minute paddle on Lake Powell, the largest coastal dune lake in North America. Learn about the history, natural communities and wildlife that make this Outstanding Florida Water unique and important. A guided kayak tour is enjoyable for individuals, families and groups. Must be 12 years of age or older and able to independently navigate your own kayak.
The cash-only fee is $30 and includes park entry, watercraft rental, life jacket, paddle and a donation to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park. Space is limited and reservations are required. Call the park at 850-233-5059.
Watercraft and gear from outside the park are not permitted. Meet in the visitor center.  Bring sun protection and drinking water. Program is weather dependent. If there is a chance of inclement weather on program day, call the park for information.

7-9 p.m. at Aaron Bessant Park, 500 W. Park Drive in Panama City Beach (adjacent to Pier Park). Visit Panama City Beach will host Summer Concert series with Wildermiss performing in the amphitheater. This is a free concert open to the public
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the sounds of summer music. Coolers, food and pets are welcome but must be leashed at all times and picked up after. Food and drinks are available for purchase from local food vendors.
