They are being invited to a free introductory course in that will help them make themselves and the city net zero carbon in the coming years.

The two-hour city centre course – on October 4 – is being delivered by Swansea Council in association with Future Clarity, a Welsh business focused on sustainable futures.
Andrea Lewis, Swansea Council’s joint deputy leader and cabinet member for service transformation, said: “As part of our aim to make the city net zero carbon by 2050, we’re committed to helping businesses become more climate and carbon aware.
“As the council is doing, it’s crucial that local business takes positive action towards becoming net zero.
“I’m confident that SMEs will find this course useful in their journey to decarbonisation.”
The council-accredited course – Towards Carbon Zero – is due to be run twice at the HQ Urban Kitchen, Orchard Street, Swansea, on October 4 at 9.30am and 1pm. Guests can attend either session.
The council say it aims to help SMEs plan for the future by introducing them to how their business can save energy, reduce waste and cut carbon emissions. It will offer practical solutions.
They add it’s also a chance to meet other business owners on their journey to future proofing their enterprises in a rapidly changing world whilst staying competitive.
The course is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. There are a total of 50 places available.
