City Offers Free Safety Course For Preschool Children Over Spring Break – City of Des Moines, IA

Des Moines, Iowa — Wednesday, March 9, 2022 — Spring break just got a whole lot safer in Des Moines. The Des Moines Police Department still has openings for its free March session of Safety City program aimed at preschool children.
The hands on course is three days next week that focuses on empowering 4-5 year olds to keep themselves safe in their homes, neighborhoods and community. Children will be taught about 911, water safety, fire safety, pedestrian and bike safety and much more in a way that’s tailored to their learning style.
The Safety City course runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 15 – 17 at the Pioneer Columbus Community Center. Lunch will be provided.

Parents can register their children for the event at DSM.city/SafetyCity. Registration is free, but space is limited.
