Residents can learn a life-saving skill at one of two free courses from Columbia Valley Rural Fire and Rescue Service.
“Our goal is to have as many CPR-trained community members as possible. Whether it’s a loved one, co-worker, or complete stranger, we want to make sure you are prepared to help save a life,” said CVRFRS Assistant Fire Chief Joss Advocaat. “The skills learned will give students the vital knowledge and confidence needed to act decisively when an emergency occurs. No certificate will be provided, but we will cover important life-saving lessons like CPR, automated external defibrillator use, choking, and airway management.”
RDEK officials said there will be two courses: one on Nov. 2nd and another on the 30th. They will both run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Windermere Fire Hall.
The event is free to all attendees and people of all ages can attend.
Those wishing to attend will have to register in advance by sending an email to [email protected] or calling the Windermere Fire Hall at 250-342-6214.
