TURNERS FALLS — Superintendent Richard Martin is pleased to share the success of the Franklin County Technical School summer program, Tech Connect.
The first of two weeks of the summer program was held last week, and the second week is currently ongoing. Students going into grades 6-8 are eligible to participate in the program’s classes.
Through the program, students can experience such programs as archery with the National Archery in Schools Program and get exposure to the fun, alternative sport. Students can also learn the fundamentals of wrestling in the wrestling class, and can even learn the basics of coding in the computer programming class.
“Our Tech Connect program is an amazing opportunity for students to gain new skills and have lots of fun while doing it during the summer months,” Superintendent Martin said. “We want to thank the community for being so supportive of the program yet again this year and look forward to seeing how the second week unfolds.”
Morning campers are provided with a free breakfast, and morning, afternoon or all-day campers have a free lunch included.
