Harvard University offers free online courses with certificates of completion for all those who are interested to take the courses during the lockdown. The online courses range from zero to over 12 weeks long, and across various subjects such as Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Programming, Science, Education and Teaching, Art and Design, Health and Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences.
The courses will be conducted by the Harvard University faculty, and students also have the option to choose the courses through the difficulty level namely introductory, intermediate and advanced. The website currently displays that there are nearly 59 free courses available as of today.
Students can also opt for the subject they wish to pursue, for instance under Data Science there are 13 online courses that are being offered for free, which are Principles, Statistical and Computational Tools for Reproducible Science; Data Science: Capstone; Data Science: Visualization; Data Science: Probability; Data Science: Inference and Modeling; Data Science: Productivity Tools; Data Science: Wrangling; Data Science: Linear Regression; Introduction to Linear Models and Matrix Algebra; and so on.
Interested students and professionals can enroll for the courses on the official Harvard website. While taking the course is free of cost, those who wish to obtain a verified completion certificate will have to pay around $150 depending on the course taken. To enroll for the free online courses, students will have to log in with the website through their Facebook, Google, or Microsoft accounts.
There is also an option to create a new account with the edx website by providing a valid email address, username, password, and country of residence. Those who wish to take the Harvard University free online courses are advised to go through the official website in detail.
