Road Closures


North Harvard St. will be closed from Soldiers Field Road to Western Avenue starting at 8 a.m. on gameday, November 19.

Gate 8 parking pass holders will be permitted access via the checkpoint on Western Avenue by showing their valid hang tag beginning at 9 a.m. Any fans with a pre-purchased football parking pass and ADA placard will also have access to North Harvard St. via Western Avenue by presenting their parking pass and state-issued handicap placard.

Access to Harvard Business School Lot will be restricted to entry from Western Ave.

Parking, Rideshare, and Tailgating


General Information

  • ALL parking for Harvard-Yale is SOLD OUT.
    • A very limited number of additional general admission parking will be available at the Harvard Business School.
  • Lots open 3 hours prior to game time.
  • Tailgating within the athletics complex is permitted three hours prior to the game.
  • Commercial vehicles (U-Hauls), RVs, Winnebagos and trucks are not permitted in any parking facility. Corporate sampling and any promotional vehicles MUST have prior written permission by Harvard Athletics Marketing to enter any parking lot. Rideshare

  • Pregame Rideshare drop-off: Corner of Academic Way and South Campus Drive, Boston, MA 02134
  • Postgame Rideshare pick-up: 114 Western Ave, Boston, MA 02134

Tailgating Guidelines

  • Guests who park within the athletic complex (gates 8, 14, 16 and 20) are welcome to tailgate at their vehicles. Tailgating is not permitted, however, for fans who park in the Harvard Business School lot.
  • All parking gates open three hours prior to kickoff for tailgating.
  • Lots will close one hour following the end of the game.
  • All tailgates must end at game time. There is no tailgating permitted during the game.
  • Each vehicle is permitted one parking space and the area directly behind the vehicle for tailgating. You may not block aisles or other vehicles from parking.
  • Beer kegs and items that promote the rapid consumption of alcohol are not permitted at any University athletic function or event. No individual or group may transport a keg to a University athletic event.
  • Grills using charcoal are prohibited within the athletic complex. The maximum propane gas cylinder size allowed will be 20 pounds.

Reserved Tailgating
Unless noted on the Harvard-Yale Complex Map, all reserved tailgates will be located on Ohiri Field. Reserved tailgating space is SOLD OUT.

Crimson Pub
The Crimson Pub will be open in the Dillon Quad starting at 10 a.m. Learn more.


Stadium Policies


Ticketing Policy
Sit in your ticketed seat. It is important that all patrons sit in their ticketed seat. All fans have paid for their assigned seat and the stadium will be completely full, therefore, it is paramount everyone sits in their proper section & seat. This will help to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all spectators. 

Alcohol Policy
Harvard University does not permit kegs at any University athletic function or event. Vehicles and/or fans carrying amounts of alcohol above State Law will NOT be allowed within the complex. Unruly or visibly intoxicated behavior will be grounds for removal.

Bag Policy
All persons, bags and personal items are subject to inspection before entering the Harvard stadium footprint. Fans may bring personal bags to events, however they will all be subject to search.

Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited at football games:

  • Drones
  • Selfie sticks, or any stick or pole of any size
  • Laser pointers or similar items
  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Large banners, flags, or signs
  • Inappropriate attire or signage

Recycling Policy
Harvard uses Single Stream Recycling, so all cans, bottles, paper and cardboard may go in the same bag (this includes solo cups and plastics #1-7). Recycling and trash bins will be located under the stadium and in the concession area, please place all recycling in the blue bag and all trash in the black bag. When done, leave the bags tied up on the ground, and they will be picked up after the game.

Harvard Athletics encourages and promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. Our goal is to create a first-class environment to lend support to our teams while maintaining a safe and fun atmosphere for all. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants, coaches, officials, and fellow spectators in a positive, respectful manner. Inappropriate behavior, including the use of foul language, engaging in negative verbal attacks, or discrimination based on race, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, creed, national origin, age, ancestry, veteran status, disability, military service, or any other legally protected basis, of players, officials, coaches, and/or other spectators will not be tolerated. Anyone in violation of these policies may be asked to leave by security personnel.

Assumption of Risk Policy
All visitors voluntarily assume all risks and danger of property loss and personal injury incidental to any event or activity inside the Athletics Complex, whether such risks and danger occur prior to, during or subsequent to such event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the visitor, personally and on behalf of his or her family, heirs and personal representative(s) hereby releases, absolves and forever discharges Harvard University and its officers, governing board members, faculty, employees, students and agents and any other institution participating in the event from and against any present or future claims, losses or liabilities, costs and expenses for injury to person or property or for any other damage, which the visitor or his or her family may suffer, or for which the visitor may be liable to any other person, arising from or related to the given event.


Harvard Student Information


  • Tickets will be available to all current Harvard College students at no cost. Student ticket distribution will be held at the Smith Campus Center throughout the week of The Game: Monday, November 14 through Friday, November 18 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Students unable to visit the Smith Campus Center may also pick up their ticket at the Murr Center Ticket Office during regular operational hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, starting November 14th.
  • Students must bring their valid HUID in order to pick up their ticket.
  • Tickets are limited to one per student.

The 138th playing of The Game between Harvard and Yale is officially SOLD OUT. Fans who are interested in purchasing tickets are encouraged to visit VividSeats.com.


Game Programs


Commemorative Harvard-Yale game programs will also be distributed to the first 3,000 fans in attendance!

Digital game programs are accessible via QR code, free of charge, at all home athletics events. Scan the QR code at the venue to be taken to the digital yearbook containing game information, rosters, and team updates.
