After months of hard work to recover from the December tornado that hit Lyon County, Holiday Hills Resort is back open for the season. The resort held a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting Friday, hosted by the Lake Barkley Chamber of Commerce.
The resort, owned by Daniel & Danielle Lee, is located at the northern end of Lake Barkley and suffered significant damage from the storm. However, Daniel explained in a video posted on social media the Saturday morning after the tornado that the damage at the resort was not as bad as in neighboring communities.

After lots of support and help from the community to clean up debris and assist with repairs at the resort, Garrett announced on February 12th they would be opening on time on April 1st for the season with a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting scheduled for April 8th.
Following the grand reopening and ribbon cutting, the resort kicked off — Friday Food & Tunes. This is a new event this year that will include an evening of music and food on Fridays for everyone to come out and enjoy throughout the season.

In addition, Holiday Hills Resort offers something for everyone — campsites, lakeside lodging, a playground, a 50,000-gallon outdoor swimming pool, and a pavilion for family gatherings.
Lodging at the resort can accommodate four to sixty people, and Holiday Hills offers specialty group pricing for family reunions and large groups. All lodging units at the resort have fully equipped kitchens, grills, coffee pots, microwaves, and bathrooms, and all linens are provided as well.
Holiday Hills Resort is located at 5631 State Route 93 South in Eddyville. For more information or any questions, call (270) 388-5253.
