The hybrid learning model predates the pandemic, ushered in by innovations in technology. Schools in Delhi tried it out three years ago as a temporary protective measure against the deterioration of air quality. “But it was the pandemic that made it a reality — that you have to look beyond the physical walls of a classroom,” says Shashi Banerjee, director of education at Shiv Nadar School.
