ISRO is offering a free online course called Geospatial Applications for Forest Ecosystem Analysis for students and scientific researchers
ISRO is currently accepting applications from students and scientific staff for a free online course called “Geospatial Applications for Forest Ecosystem Analysis”. The course is being offered by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, which is a centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation. IIRS says that the course is aimed at offering an understanding of the technology as geospatial technology is an effective tool for assessment, monitoring and management of forest ecosystem. Participants will be given certificates upon successful completion of the course.
The course would be most suitable for the following participants:
The course brings both theoretical as well as use cases on how geospatial technology can be effectively applied to better understand and manage the forest ecosystems. The following topics will be covered as part of the course:
The course should be able to enable the participants to self explore and apply methodology on use of geospatial technology for monitoring and assessment of various forest ecosystems.
