PEMBROKE — The Lumbee Tribe is partnering with Cape Fear Farm Credit to offer Free educational opportunities, AgBiz courses, to Native Farmers.
The AgBiz courses consist of AgBiz Planner and AgBiz Basics. These online courses assist young, beginning and small farmers and veterans in becoming more successful business people through knowledge of the marketplace, financial, and business management topics.
Association employees will act as mentors, guiding farmers through the training and providing feedback.
The AgBiz courses include an eLearning curriculum with multiple online modules that will be available on-demand anytime through any high-speed internet connection — either at a farmer’s home, place of business or from a local Farm Credit office. A face-to-face leadership institute will be held upon completion for all graduates to allow them to network and apply what they learned in a group setting.
