Mangaluru, Jun 30: Srinivas University, here, decided to offer an opportunity for realizing the engineering graduation dream of PUC Commerce & Arts students.
In its Board of Governors meeting held last week, Srinivas University decided to offer admission opportunities to non-Science background students of 11th and 12th standards to get admission to BTech (Hons) programmes. Through this decision, the dream of many Commerce and Arts students to become graduates and postgraduates in the 21st century emerging technologies and hence to encash top career-building opportunities will be realized.
BTech (Hons) programmes:
Accordingly, students who have completed PUC this year can join 12 super specialty BTech (Hons) programmes, including (1) BTech (Hons) in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, (2) BTech(Hons) in Artificial Intelligence & Virtual Reality (3) BTech (Hons) in IoT, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (4) BTech (Hons) in Cyber Security & Cyber Forensics, (5) BTech (Hons) in Cloud Computing & Mobile Technology (6) BTech (Hons) in Data Science & Engineering (7) BTech (Hons) in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (8) BTech (Hons) in Nanotechnology (9) BTech (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (10) BTech (Hons) in Civil Engineering (11) BTech (Hons) in Computer Science & Engineering and (12) BTech (Hons) in Electronics & Communications Engineering with its unique ‘Srinivas Integrated Student Development Model’ for employability and entrepreneurship focus. The regulations governing the admission of 12th Commerce and Arts students for engineering (BTech (Hons)) programmes of Srinivas University are as follows:
Eligibility for admission:
According to the AICTE announcement and suggestion, students must score at least 45% marks in the 12th standard for admission in BTech. Additionally, it will be necessary to pass in any of the three subjects in the list of 15 subjects. The 15 subjects include Math, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, IT, Biology, Informatics Practice, Biotechnology, Technical Business Subject, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship and Economics. Any three of these subjects will have to bring 45% marks. At the same time, reserve category students must achieve at least 40% marks. However, relaxation up to 5% shall be given on special cases to all categories based on the recommendations of a special committee to the chancellor.
Bridge Course:
Admitted students from Commerce and Arts backgrounds will undergo and qualify a bridge course offered by the college in the first year as per their background and the engineering course they opted in the university. the very nice program started by you. Every student should get to study all subjects. I am well happy for this if any student has not taken PCM subject in school so can not do b.tech this system was very bad.
