This detailed course, which spans over 23 hours, delves deep into Maya’s modeling tools.
I’ll start by demonstrating the three most popular modeling tools in Maya:
Tool for beveling
Tool for Several Cuts
Tool to Extrude
From there, we immerse ourselves in designing the iconic Star Wars Landspeeder.
We’ll start by sketching out the Landspeeder’s basic form. The main body, or chassis, would be blocked out first, followed by the wings, the cockpit section, and the wings.
I’ll demonstrate my modeling strategies along the way. The directives are easy to obey because they are simple and accurate. I’ll go into my methods and why I use them.
Then we’ll go over how to set up the camera, how to set up the lighting, and eventually how to make the Landspeeder so you have a professional-looking model to add to your showreel.
