Faculty, staff, and students who regularly park their vehicles on the Pullman campus may need to consider alternative arrangements on Thursday, Oct. 27, due to WSU’s home football game.
“Though Thursday football games are an infrequent occurrence, we recognize that changes in parking during the work week are disruptive, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience,” said WSU Pullman Chancellor Elizabeth Chilton.
The campus will remain open and under normal operations, and classes will continue as scheduled. Campus parking lots should be cleared of employee and student vehicles by 3 p.m. to accommodate the crowds of fans traveling to Pullman for the 7 p.m. kickoff against the University of Utah. A map of affected parking lots (PDF) is available online. RV access will be granted to the indicated lots starting Wednesday evening, and will be allowed through Friday. RV lots will be shared use with WSU permit holders on Thursday until 3 p.m. and all day Friday.
Human Resource Services has put together a frequently asked questions page with information for employees. Staff are asked to work with their supervisors on temporary changes to work schedule or remote work.
Pullman Transit will be running normal bus routes all day Thursday and offering free park and ride services after 4 p.m. Pullman Transit rides are free with a CougarCard. WSU Transportation Services’ staff are available to assist faculty, staff, and students looking for help determining the best transit options.
