BAY COUNTY — The summer season may be wrapping up in Bay County, but the music scene is still on the rise.
Area venues welcome local musicians and bands to play throughout Bay County on a daily basis. The options are many around town, and there are plenty of opportunities to catch live music on any day of the week.
From Panama City to 30A, here’s a look into where live music is taking place through the end of the month:

‘A feel-good time’: Play Music on the Porch Day returns to Panama City and St. Andrews
Relax under the palapa and enjoy live music at Little Village & Finns, 2808 W. 12th St. in St. Andrews. All shows are free, family- and pet-friendly. Head over to Saltwater Grill, 11040 Hutchison Blvd., in Panama City Beach Friday or Saturday night for a great meal while listening to live music from George Allen. The Panama City-based musician will bring a night full of soulful music from 7-10 p.m. on both nights.
Stroll through the streets of downtown and St. Andrews to enjoy live music at local businesses and restaurants for Play Music on the Porch Day.
More than 25 performers can be found at local venues in downtown Panama City Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and nearly 50 musicians in the St. Andrews area from 3-6 p.m.
Play Music on the Porch Day is an annual worldwide event for musicians to play music outdoors on the porches of area businesses and restaurants. Each year, on the last Saturday in August, musicians from across the globe find common ground through music, regardless of their differences.
Barracuda Beach Bar and Grill, 6628 Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach, will bring live music to the main stage on Friday night. Enjoy a night of great food, strong drinks and rockin’ music with the Salt Rock Band performing live with special guest Spike from Sticky Tea and Chris from the Healers. The performance lasts from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Grab your favorite Irish fare and a cold brew and get ready to rock at the House of Henry, 461 Harrison Ave., on Friday night with live music from True Soul, and tunes from Mitch and the Mule Drivers on Saturday night.
