Cricket is one of the hard-challenged games these days for the cricketers to play around the world indifferent. With tight schedules and less time to refresh themselves, players have to deal with mental issues at various levels.
Recently, England all-rounder Ben Stokes took a break from Cricket to concentrate on his mental health due to the tight schedule of the fixtures. Not just in the present times, but even in the past, players have had issues with their mental health due to the tight cricket schedule.
With covid-19 Cricket has completely altered into a different structure with new rules and guidelines. In recent times where players have faced difficulty for such change in the form of cricket to adapt.
According to latest reports, it’s not only the players who face mental issues, but even officials. Recently one PCB official has said he was working under such pressure situations where his seniors were not helpful to him at all.
Due to miscommunication, the official has resigned from his post. The situation went so out of control that the official was admitted to the hospital and was further treated.
After hearing the news of the official, the former Pakistan Cricketer and current chairman Ramiz Raja have said he had no such knowledge about his misbehavior with the official. Talking over this further the Ramiz Raja said that the warning letter was sent with guidelines.
This type of behavior is not acceptable in our board said Ramiz Raja. One express media kept the names of the officials confidential, as concern was quite sensitive.
While on the other side, the PCB director Sami Ul Hasan had quoted that the official never had issues with anyone in his tenure and never complained about it back then.
“The official never complained about any individual in the organisation for such a behaviour. We won’t comment on it, if that person has brought up such a thing after leaving the PCB. He also didn’t want to extend his contract with the PCB, which is a decision we respect,” Burney quoted.
With some hard allegations against the senior official who was a member of the meeting. After the investigation process, the senior official resigned from his post. Pakistan, after playing the semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2021 against England, will now lock horns with Bangladesh for 3 match T20 series.
The 2025 Champions Trophy will be hosted by Pakistan team. Since 1996, they have hosted not any ICC Tournament.
BIG news: ICC awarded the hosting rights of 2025 Champions Trophy to PAKISTAN. Last Pak hosted any ICC event was in 1996. Pak had 2008 CT but was postponed & eventually taken taken out to South Africa in 2009. Were the co-host in 2011-WC but ICC stripped Pak of hosting rights.
While Pakistan is already the defending champions of 2017 champions trophy after crushing India by 180 runs.
