PARKERSBURG — By popular request, the Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library will conduct two free beginner through intermediate genealogy classes 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Oct. 17 at the South Parkersburg Branch on Blizzard Drive.
“Participants will learn how to explore their ancestors’ lives and write their family’s story for future generations,” genealogist Jim Miracle said.
Classes will begin with planning genealogy research and how to start the hunt. Then genealogists will demonstrate real case studies and how to analyze documented findings using family group sheets, graphs and timelines.
For more information or to register for a session, call the Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library at 304-420-4587 or the South Branch at 304-428-7041.
