T20 World Cup 2022: Former Pakistan National Cricket Team fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar made a bold prediction about team India following team Pakistan’s defeat to team Zimbabwe in the current ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
During the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on Thursday, October 27, at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Pakistan suffered their second painful last-ball loss in a succession. Pakistan failed to reach the 131-run target, falling to Zimbabwe by a single run.
They had also lost to India by four wickets in the tournament opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Their recent string of defeats in the illustrious competition has put their chances of making it to the semifinals in jeopardy.
After Pakistan’s squad lost against Zimbabwe, Shoaib Akhtar also criticized the team’s players and administration. Shoaib Akhtar claimed that Ramiz Raja, the head of the PCB, lacks brains and that Babar Azam is a poor captain.
“These openers and the middle order aren’t good enough for us to succeed at this level, I’ve been stating it constantly. How shall I put it? Pakistan’s captain is unreliable.
In the second match, Pakistan was eliminated from the world cup vs Zimbabwe. Come one down, Babar, but he is not paying attention. Shaheen Afridi has a serious fitness issue. A serious weakness in captaincy.

What style of cricket are you interested in playing? God forbid you fell short to Zimbabwe. Don’t you realize how poorly your cricket is playing? The PCB chairman and management lack intelligence. Three of the four bowlers we had to use were quick bowlers. You are choosing something else when a correct middle order is required,” the man replied.
“We needed two capable 30-yard circle users who are good openers. You didn’t use Fakhar Zaman, who is currently sitting there. He plays with his back foot and would succeed in Australia.

It is quite embarrassing.  In the end, it’s not you; we have to deal with the media. India is where we must sit. We must respond to the world’s questions. What solutions do we have right now?
No middle order, no openers, no plans… I claimed that Zimbabwe will triumph in this match if they bowled length balls. I don’t believe in this team,” he added.
