PLYMOUTH-WHITEMARSH, PA — Colonial School District students will be learning virtually on Friday due to the inclement winter weather.
The district announced that students in kindergarten through 12th grade would be provided with in-home, virtual instruction Friday and that all school buildings would be closed.
“We realize that traditional snow days are enjoyable, but we just returned from an extended break and would like to maintain instructional continuity through virtual learning,” the district posted to Facebook.
Students in grades four through 12 were asked to take their devices home with them on Thursday afternoon while students in kindergarten through third grade who keep their assigned electronic devices with them at school were to be provided with other devices to take home, according to the district.
Students on Friday would be accessing their classes through the virtual Zoom platform and links would be provided by teachers either through Google Classroom for those in kindergarten through fifth grade, or Canvas courses for students in grades six through 12.
Anyone in need of at-home assistance was urged to reach out to the district at [email protected].
