10-11 a.m. at Camp Helen State Park, 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway in Panama City Beach. Meander through history and time with a park ranger on a history tour of Camp Helen State Park.
The park’s historic district is recognized on the National Historic Register, and is sited along the bluffs of Lake Powell, which was inhabited for thousands of years by indigenous populations. Rangers will touch upon the Hicks family that initially developed the property, as well as Avondale Textile Mills, which ran a summer vacation destination for their employees and families for 40 years.
Wear appropriate clothing for walking, and bring along water, bug repellent and other necessary items. Meet at the visitor center to begin tour. History tour is free with paid park entry of $4 per vehicle.

8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mid-South Lumber Co. of Northwest Florida, 12904 Highway 231 in Youngstown. Mid-South will host a community Farm, Garden and Craft Swap.
The free event will include numerous vendors featuring fresh local produce, baked items, canned goods, handmade arts and crafts, plants and small animals, and a food truck on site.

These all-African American regiments were formed in 1866 and were instrumental in military support and expansion into the western United States. They fought in every major conflict (including the Spanish American War, Indian Wars, World War II and the Korean War) until the Army was desegregated in the 1950s.
To learn more about the valiant efforts, honors, and challenges these soldiers faced, there will be interactive QR codes, pictures and more.The exhibit will remain on display Monday through Friday to Sept. 23.
