PETALING JAYA: A 38-year-old mechanic has been arrested for killing his wife after she exposed his affair on social media.
Police said the 28-year-old woman was brought to Kajang Hospital in an unconscious state by her husband on Raya eve. She died of her injuries later that evening.
The medical officer filed a police report after finding the death suspicious.
“The victim had bruises on her body. The cause of death was determined to be an abdominal injury due to a blow by a blunt weapon,” said Kajang district police chief Zaid Hassan.
He said investigations revealed that the husband was angry with his wife for exposing his affair on social media.
The husband will be charged with murder on Monday at the Kajang magistrates’ court.
