To help students prepare for the workforce through industry-created training, the Alamo Colleges District will be offering all Fall 2022 enrolled students free access to one of six Grow with Google professional certificates through a partnership with Coursera.
This opportunity is made possible through a partnership between Google and Coursera, a global online learning platform that offers access to online courses.
The six professional certificates in the Grow with Google suite available for enrolled students are; Data Analytics, Digital Marketing & E-commerce, IT Automation with Python, IT Support, Project Management and UX Design.
All six professional certificates are designed by experts in the field and combine skills training with hands-on practice.
“We are excited to have this partnership to offer free training for our students to gain the skills needed in six months or less for high-wage, high-demand jobs across San Antonio,” said Dr. Mike Flores, Alamo Colleges District Chancellor.
Earning a certificate can help students stand out to employers by adding a credential from Google to their resume. The online training provides job-ready skills in three to six months with under 10 hours of flexible study per week.
Students can complete the career training at their own pace, at any time, and entirely online. No prior knowledge is required to be successful in the learning modules to earn the professional certificate.
Ready to get started? Reserve your spot and for more information, visit alamo.edu/upskill/acd-students.
Students will have until June 18, 2024 to claim a seat. Once a seat is claimed, the six month window to complete the professional certificate begins.
