A free online course is teaching people how to save someone from drowning in open water.
The course, prepared by West Mercia Search and Rescue, contains information on the dangers of water and how to rescue someone who’s in trouble.
Backed by West Mercia Police, the Royal Lifesaving Society and the RNLI, the course takes about 20 minutes to complete.
You can start the course at westmerciasar.org.uk or download a PDF version for offline learning.
West Mercia Search and Rescue is a rescue charity operating across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire.
