IIT Kharagpur has announced a free online course ethical hacking for students with basic knowledge on programming and networking
IIT Kharagpur is offering a free online course on ethical hacking this time on the SWAYAM NPTEL platform, which can be completed in 12 weeks. The course aims at helping individuals and organisations safeguard their IT infrastructure by adopting safe practices. The course also carries three credit points for students who successfully complete it within the designated time. The course will be conducted from 23 January to 14 April 2023.
The course will be conducted by professor Indranil Sengupta who has obtained his BTech, MTech and PhD degrees in computer science and engineering from the University of Calcutta. NPTEL says that the professor has over 28 years of teaching and research experience, and has guided 22 PhD students. In addition to that, the professor has more than 200 publications to his credit in international journals and conferences. A certificate will also be provided to students who successfully complete the course and clear an examination that will be conducted in 30 April 2022. Candidates will have to pay Rs 1000 to take the examination.
While the course is open to anyone with basic knowledge on programming and networking, it would be most suited for students and professionals from the following domains:
