TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) – Local families have the opportunity later this month to get a free car seat and learn a thing or two about car seat safety.
Marana police are hosting a car seat safety class from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 at the department’s community room. The last day to register is March 22.
One car seat will be provided to each family that attends after the class is completed. Only 15 spots are open.
According to Marana officers, car wrecks are the leading cause of death for kids between one and 19 years old. A properly installed car seat or booster seat can reduce a child’s risk of death by 71%.
