It’s almost the end of 2021, and that means it’s time to nail down New Year’s Eve plans.
But just in case you’re just now realizing that you haven’t, we’ve got a list of events around the city.
Of course, if none of them sound appealing, your living room is always a great venue — there’s no cover charge, the drinks are free and as DJ you’re free to play whatever music you want.

Ring in the new year with a Hegg Brothers Sextet performance at R Wine Bar and Kitchen in downtown Sioux Falls. The event lasts from 7-10 p.m..

Spend New Year’s at Wileys – no cover and a DJ rocking away all night. Event starts at 9 p.m..

Ring in the new year with live music by Brock Dexter. The performance starts at 7 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m..

Ring in the new year at Harvester Kitchen by Bryan. The party includes sparkling wine and horse d’oeurves followed by a 6-course meal. Musical entertainment and dancing will follow dinner with a toast at midnight with a sweets table of petite cookies and candies. Tickets are $150 per person. Join the party at Grand Falls Casino this year and have a chance to win gas for a year. Jacob Christopher will take center stage at 8:30 p.m. and there will be a champagne toast with party favors at midnight.

Doors open at 4 p.m. for the Giving Hope New Year’s Eve Bingo event. The night’s prize is a $1,000 Jackpot blackout and a U Pick ‘Em guaranteed at $2,000. There is a minimum $60 buy-in, which includes bingo, food, wine and entry for prizes.

You’re off work, it’s New Year’s Eve and the parties don’t start until later in the evening. Why not hang out and play some games with the Game Chest community? Event starts at 5 p.m..

Doors open at 8 p.m. for this 21-and-older event at The District. No cover needed and DJ ZEO will host the festivities.

Weather permitting, Great Bear will be open for skiing and tubing from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 with discounted rates after 5 p.m.. Lift tickets cost $20, rentals $20 and tubing $10. At midnight, the recreational area will have a fireworks show from atop the ski hill. Great Bear has not yet set an opening date.

Reserve your spot now for Galaxy Gaming’s annual New Year’s gaming party, which runs from Dec. 31 at 10 p.m. until 8 a.m. Jan. 1. Admission is $38 each for all-night gaming and $23 for unlimited laser tag (two hour sessions either from 8-10 p.m. or 10 p.m.-midnight). Or you can buy both for $49 a person.
All-night gaming guests receive an energy drink, pizza, two session of laser tag, a chance to win gaming passes and a chance to win galaxy gaming laser tag passes.

Join the fun with a New Year’s Eve skate from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. There will be a balloon drop, door prizes, party favors and more. One person will also win a free pair of skates.

Enter 2022 with a round of strikes at the Eastway Bowl New Year’s Eve celebration. Bowling is $18 per person from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and $20 per person from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.. Reservations are encouraged

Hosted by Spoke-N-Sport, get started on your first bike ride of the year with other area cyclists. Starting at Spoke-N-Sport on Cliff Avenue near Tuthill Park, the group will ride between two and 11 miles with mountain bikes and fat bikes (but the ride can be done on any bike), depending on weather. After the ride, return to Spoke-N-Sport for food and hot chocolate or coffee. The event is free.

Drop your child off at 605 Ninja on New Year’s Day for games, pizza and Ninja. The event is $20 per child and runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Children must be pre-registered online.
