SL VS PAK: The second Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been moved from Colombo to Galle due to the island nation’s ongoing political crisis and civil unrest. 
On Saturday, the first Test of the series began in Galle (July 16). The second and final Test was scheduled for July 24 to 28 in Colombo. However, it will now also be held in Galle.
Sri Lanka Cricket, according to Newswire, stated: “This is to inform you that the SLC Management, in collaboration with the PCB, has decided to hold the second Test match of Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2022 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.”
Two of the three T20Is and three of the five ODIs played in Colombo during Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka.

While the games went off without a hitch, political protests in Colombo have increased in recent days. This could have resulted in a venue change for the second Sri Lanka-Pakistan Test.
On the first day of the first Test, Pakistan reduced Sri Lanka to 166/8 at tea. On Day 1 of the first Test in Galle on Saturday, the visitors reduced Sri Lanka to 166/8 at tea.
After winning the toss and batting first, the hosts lost Dimuth Karunaratne (1) early when he dragged a delivery from Shaheen Afridi onto the stumps. 
Kusal Mendis (21) was the next to go, edging leg-spinner Yasir Shah’s length ball to the keeper. Oshada Fernando looked in good form during his 35-run knock. He had to walk back to the pavilion after poking one from Hasan Ali outside.
Angelo Mathews was caught mid-on off Shah’s bowling for a 15-ball duck. When Afridi bowled Dhananjaya de Silva, the Lankans had lost half of their side for 99 runs (14). Afridi added a third when he dismissed Niroshan Dickwella for four runs.
The hosts’ wickets continued to tumble as Ramesh Mendis (11), and Prabath Jayasuriya (3) were bowled out by Naseem Shah and Mohammad Nawaz, respectively. Dinesh Chandimal held the fort for the Lankans at tea on Day 1 with a defiant 68*.
