CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) — UTC is teaming up with Life Care Centers of America to provide an amazing opportunity for local folks.
In an effort to “rebuild the local health care system,” UTC is offering 100% free certified nursing assistant (CNA) training.
All fees for tuition, applications, materials and more will be waived.
Those in training can also earn $16 an hour or more while attending class.
After the course, students are guaranteed a full-time job at a local Life Care facility.
“I think providing a consistent pipeline of high-quality, trained individuals will support them and at the end of the day, could support all of us who may one day need that type of care,” said Program Manager Will Watson.
Watson says the program will give people a chance to receive a quality education while also boosting the local workforce with appropriate staffing.
