A brief description
Welcome to our newest course, in which you’ll learn how to install, stable, and customize NGINX or Apache on an Ubuntu web server. You’ll also learn how to encrypt all web traffic with a Let’s Encrypt free SSL certificate.
Section APACHE:
This course starts with an explanation of Apache, the most commonly deployed web server application. According to statistics, Apache is used to manage over 65 percent of all web servers on the planet. The willingness to work with Apache is a vital aspect of the web development process. The following main principles will be taught to students:
Use Digital Ocean to set up a computer server
Using dynamic, static, and floating IP addresses
Using Terminal to authenticate remotely
LAMP Stack installation and configuration on Ubuntu 18.04
PHP is being tested.
On a single Apache Virtual Server, you can host several domains.
Virtual Host Files and Directives Configuration
Configuring DNS Zone Files
Section on NGINX:
NGINX is now widely known as the most powerful, reliable, and stable web server technology for hosting web applications of all shapes and sizes. The software is free and open-source, and it is built for speed and reliability. It also helps to address all of Apache’s shortcomings in terms of providing content to the end user. NGINX is a database server that can also be used for reverse proxying, routing, load balancing, video streaming, and more.
This course’s NGINX section will help you grasp the following main concepts:
What’s the difference between Apache and NGINX?
Installing NGINX on a Digital Ocean Droplet or some other Virtual Host. This portion of the course delves into the role of SSL certificates in server protection and web traffic encryption in detail. We continue with a detailed review, which involves an analysis of various forms of certificates and how they operate. Students then build a droplet on Digital Ocean and use Let’s Encrypt Certificate Authority to configure their own free SSL certificate. Theoretical and practical teaching was combined in this part of the course. Students will put some of the lessons learned in the previous two parts into effect while still talking about free SSL certificates like Let’s Encrypt.
This course is intended for the following individuals:
- Students involved in studying the NGINX, Apache, and SSL Encryption Foundations
- Students who want to understand how SSL Certificates operate should take this course.
- Web developers who choose to install NGINX on an Ubuntu server and use MySQL, PHP, and PhpMyAdmin
- Web developers who wish to run APACHE on Ubuntu using the LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Students who want to learn how to install and customize WordPress on NGINX should attend this class.
